British colonialism was doomed to failure everywhere. The British treated subjects in the colonies like slaves leading to many revolutions. America had slavery from the British colonial days. After we defeated the British in our revolution we had to deal with the slavery issue the BRitish left us. If Britain would just have treated colonists like equals they might own more than the Falklands today.

This was only shortly before the outbreak of the Second Boer war, in which the British Army would have a totally different experience.

This is a masacre and the goal of fighting slavery is a big lie. It's just the announced goal, but the main goal was to destroy an independent state that might be a threat to Egypt and the British intersests there.
